This result was remarkable, given that our house had been on the market for the preceding one hundred and fifty days with a real estate competitor. The contrast between TG Newton’s approach to selling our home and that of a competitor could not have been more distinct with the competitor requiring us to conduct an open house three times a week and to frequently review and lower the advertised price of our house, even though comparable houses were selling in our agreed price range. Not being satisfied with this marketing tactic, the competitor real estate agent then adjusted the neighbourhood value of our house to that of an adjoining suburb, which had a significantly lesser value attributed to it. After one hundred & fifty days, and having our fullest cooperation and trust in the competitor real estate agent’s marketing strategy... resulted in nothing other than more empty promises, and a significant cost investment on our part. Finally a good Real Estate Story - had listed with another local agency, agreed a price (was told it was a reasonable expectation) paid all the advertising and then started the open days campaign and it went on and on and on for 6 months without any success (meanwhile Melbourne prices are coming down, down and further down) but locked into a contract and no offers. Finally the contract was over and moved to T G Newton with super salesman (SCOTT KIM) and within 1 week we were proud sellers. Cannot thank Scott and the T G Newton team enough. We recently engaged Tony to sell our investment property in Essendon. Initially we were a little tentative utilizing an out of area Agent, however upon meeting with Tony and agreeing upon a sales strategy, we felt confident it was in good hands. We had a very good outcome. Tony immediately took control of the entire process. The property sold reasonably quickly but most importantly, we did not have to revisit the property, spend any money on it or decorate it for sale. Tony was able to develop a good relationship with the tenant, who was comfortable allowing Tony access to bring prospective buyers through resulting in a seamless experience for us. Having successfully sold our investment property, we then made the decision to sell our family home. Being located in Doreen, many people including local agents questioned why we would employee an outside agent to sell our house. Having experienced the service and skills of Tony previously, we were happy to reengage him despite being considerable distance away. Similar to selling our investment property, an agreed strategy was implemented. Upon extensively reviewing local sales in the area we were able to confidently set a specific asking price.
